Commission FAQ

Let’s talk about commissions.

How does the commission process work?
First, contact me! You can email me directly or fill out the form below. Once we’ve discussed the nature of your project I will send you a custom quote. This process is always free and it does not obligate you to commission me. When the quote is agreed upon I will require 50% of the total commission as a deposit. After that I will send you an initial sketch for your approval. At this stage both major and minor changes are allowed. This process may repeat until we are both happy with moving forward. Once the sketch is approved I will begin working on your final piece! Upon completion I will collect the rest of the commission total and send the piece to you.
What kind of work is available?
I offer both traditional and digital options.
Traditional mediums include: oil, graphite drawings, or watercolor/gouache. These traditional pieces can be sent directly to you. I offer anything as small as a postcard to large scale paintings.
Digital Art: Digital art can be sent as a file, print or both! Print sizes include: 8x10, 11x14 or 13x19 (custom sizes available upon request.)
Turnaround time:
Simple projects will take 1-2 weeks to finish once the initial sketch is approved. More complex projects will take 3-7 weeks to finish once the initial sketch is approved. I will always take my clients needs into consideration, so please let me know ahead of time when you need your project completed. Rush jobs will be subject to an additional fee.
Pricing:
General pricing for simple projects is $100 - $350. Simple projects include graphite sketches, single figure illustration with simplified background and most digital work.
General pricing for complex projects is $400 - $2000. Complex projects often include traditional paintings, multi figure illustration, large work and highly detailed work.
Terms and conditions:
All commissions are for personal use only unless otherwise discussed. Commercial work and licensing fees are separate.
Commissions are on a first come, first serve basis. Rush jobs will have an additional fee.
Forms of payment
For personal commission work I accept Venmo and Paypal. Please let me know in advance if you prefer a different payment method and I will work with you to the best of my abilities.
